The EB-5 program is for entrepreneurs that can qualify for a green card if they make the necessary investment in a commercial enterprise in the U.S. and plan to create 10 permanent full-time jobs for qualified U.S. workers. It is said that by the end of this month we will see changes in the “EB-5 Reform Act.” The changes will likely include in an increase of the minimum investment amount for entrepreneurs. Under the proposal, for areas of high unemployment or targeted employment areas (TEA) the minimum investment would be of $925,000 and for areas of regular or high employment the minimum investment would be of $1,025,000. These changes are supposed to favor investors in major urban areas. Click the link below to read more. If you have any questions regarding your EB-5, call our office to set up a consultation.
