Non-Immigrant Visas

Non-Immigrant visas are an option for persons who want to travel to the U.S. on a temporary basis such as for business, tourism, to study, to work temporarily, among other reasons.  These visas are issued for a specific length of time and for specific purposes.

Immigrant Visas

Immigrant visas are designed for people who wish to make the US their permanent residence. These are generally the choice of people who wish to live permanently in the U.S.

Green Cards

The "green card" is proof of legal permanent residence in the U.S. and allows a person to live permanently in the U.S. and to work in the U.S.  Most green card holders are sponsored by a family member or employer in the United States. Humanitarian programs offer another option, and in some cases you may  be eligible to file for yourself.
