About Our Experienced Attorneys:

Amir M. Farzaneh, Esq. - Founding Partner

Mr. Amir Farzaneh is a highly experienced attorney with 31 years of practice, specializing in immigration law. His academic journey began at the University of Oklahoma where he earned his undergraduate degree in Nuclear Medicine in 1988. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, receiving a Master's degree in Health Administration in 1990. Later, he pursued his law degree at Oklahoma City University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in December of 1995.


Admitted to practice in Oklahoma, Texas, the Western District of Oklahoma, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court, Mr. Farzaneh has established a distinguished career in immigration law. For the last decade, he has also shared his expertise as an immigration law professor at Oklahoma City University School of Law, shaping the next generation of legal professionals. 


Outside of his professional work, he enjoys playing the violin and cherishing time with his wife, children, and dogs. Amir is also fluent in Persian (Farsi). 

David T. McKenzie, Esq. - Criminal Defense Attorney

David T. McKenzie is a 1988 graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Oklahoma on October 5, 1988. He holds a Master of Science degree (1984) in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts degree (1985) in American

Studies from Northeastern Oklahoma State University. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (1982).


Mr. McKenzie is licensed to practice law in all Oklahoma State Courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, the

United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. 


He received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell in his first year of rating eligibility (1993) and has maintained that status for over 33 years. He has practiced criminal law, almost exclusively, for 38 years and has appeared in courts in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, and California. 


Mr. McKenzie has tried approximately 300 jury trials

and his representative clients have included judges, state district attorneys, assistant United States attorneys, federal law enforcement officers, state law enforcement officers and other lawyers.


Mr. McKenzie has been an adjunct professor of law at the Oklahoma City School of Law and has taught hundreds of hours of continuing legal education for Oklahoma Bar Association and well as writing several articles for the Oklahoma Bar Journal. From 2019 to 2022, he was a

member of the Board of Governors for the Oklahoma Bar Association. Mr. McKenzie has been on the Board of Directors for American Civil Liberties Union, Oklahoma County Criminal Lawyers’ Association, and is the former chairman of the Criminal Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association.


He was the 1997 recipient of the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association “Clarence Darrow Award” for jury trial excellence, the 2010 “Professional Advocate Award, Defender of the Year” given by the Oklahoma Bar Association, Criminal Law Section, the 2011 “Barry Albert

Award” given for exemplary jury trial advocacy by the Oklahoma County Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association, the 2014 “Golden Quill Award” for the best article written for the Oklahoma Bar Journal and the 2014 “Earl Sneed Award” for excellence in teaching continuing

legal education courses. Both of these awards were presented by the Oklahoma Bar Association.


Mr. McKenzie is an avid Oklahoma Sooner football and Oklahoma City Thunder fan and travels all over the world to see the Flaming Lips perform. He loves to spend time with his three sons and his dog, Annie.

Sina N. Farzaneh, Esq. - Managing Partner

Sina Farzaneh is an attorney at Farzaneh Law Firm and the son of founding partner Mr. Amir Farzaneh. Sina graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and a minor in Political Science. Sina went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2022.


After law school, Sina spent a year in Portland, Oregon, working at a prestigious immigration law firm. There, he gained invaluable experience in complex immigration matters, refining his skills in client advocacy, case preparation, and navigating the intricacies of immigration law.


Sina is licensed to practice law in, Oregon, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, and before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).


Outside of his legal practice, Sina enjoys spending time with his wife, his dog, and playing tennis. Sina is also fluent in Persian (Farsi).
 

Matthew J. Dunn, Esq. - Immigration Attorney

 

Matthew J. Dunn is an immigration attorney at Farzaneh Law Firm. Matthew graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and a minor in Spanish. Matthew began pursuing his law degree at Oklahoma City University School of Law, and earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2022.


Following law school, Matthew began working with the Oklahoma City Afghan Legal Network, a non profit organization located in Oklahoma City, providing immigration legal services to the Afghan community that were relocated through Operation Allies Welcome following the fall of Afghanistan in 2021. While with ALN, Matthew developed experience in complex immigration matters regarding asylum cases, representation of clients before immigration officers, case preparation, and advocating for his clients.


Matthew is admitted to practice law in the state of Oklahoma, and before the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR).


Outside of his professional life, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife, smoking barbeque, watching baseball, and attending events around Oklahoma City.

Yesica Rodarte

Yesica is the Office Manager at Farzaneh Law Firm, where she plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operations of the firm. Born in Mexico and raised in the United States, she brings a unique perspective to her work, understanding both the challenges and aspirations of immigrant communities. 


Passionate about helping individuals navigate the complexities of immigration law, Yesica finds fulfillment in supporting clients as they achieve legal status in the U.S. Her dedication to the immigrant community is reflected in her everyday work, and she thrives on making a meaningful impact in the lives of those seeking a better future.

Sydney Renshaw

Sydney is a Legal Assistant at Farzaneh Law Firm. She earned her degree from the University of Oklahoma in December 2024, majoring in Political Science with minors in Spanish and International Studies. She plans to attend law school in the future. 


Sydney chose to pursue a career in immigration law because of her deep commitment to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. In her current role, she supports attorneys by facilitating client communication and providing assistance at each stage of the legal process, under attorney supervision. 


She is passionate about her work and dedicated to providing compassionate, detail-oriented support to those striving for a better future.

Ashley Estrada

Ashley is a bilingual legal assistant at Farzaneh Law Firm, where she is committed to guiding clients through the immigration process with care, respect, and dedication. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and plans to attend law school to become an immigration attorney.

As the daughter of immigrants, Ashley is passionate about serving the Spanish-speaking community and advocating for those whose voices are often unheard. She hopes to play a role in changing and improving the U.S. immigration system to make it more fair, compassionate, and accessible for all.

Ashley is proud to be part of the Farzaneh Law team, where she helps make a meaningful difference in the lives of immigrant families every day. Outside of work, she enjoys expressing her creativity through painting, crocheting, and playing music. She also loves spending quality time with her two dogs and her family.

Emily Carr

Bre Almaguer

Emily is a Law Clerk at Farzaneh Law Firm while pursuing her Juris Doctorate at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. 


While in law school, Emily serves as the Co-Auction Chair for the Organization for the Advancement of Women in Law, a Judging Assistant for the Board of Advocates, a Courthouse Volunteer for the Victim’s Advocacy program, a Service Officer with OU Women’s Health Advocacy and has earned a spot on the Dean’s honor roll.  


Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Oklahoma, with a concentration in Criminal Investigations and Data Analysis and a minor in Criminology. 


As a second-year law student, she has developed a strong interest in immigration law and is committed to building a career dedicated to advocacy and service. With both personal and professional exposure to the immigration system, Emily is passionate about serving a client base defined by resilience, integrity, and hard work. 


She is dedicated to supporting individuals and families through thoughtful, detail-oriented legal assistance.

Bre is a bilingual Legal Assistant at Farzaneh Law Firm, who is passionate about helping people navigate complex legal systems. Ensuring clients feel supported, heard, and informed every step of the way.

Bre is currently continuing her education, further strengthening her knowledge and commitment to a career in the legal field. As a first-generation professional, Bre is deeply committed to advocating for the undocumented communities.

Outside her work, she is a founder of a nonprofit organization where she dedicates her time serving marginalized communities through efforts such as feeding our unhoused neighbors, providing voter education, and organizing free legal clinics for immigration.

Professionally and personally, Bre is driven by a passion for community and meaningful impact.
